Leitoria's Superman Dialouge
How does a writer use a dialogue to tell a story and help their audience visualize?
Leitoria’s Superman Dialogue
Super Man: Happy birthday David Talataina
David Talataina: Oh Hi Superman what brings you to New York City
Super man: Oh I came here for a holiday and to save some people.
David Talataina: As you can see Superman was just chilling on this really tall building.
Nash Tatupu: I see you brought some pizza and drinks with you, Superman.
Taiki Pokati: Nash, when will you at least stop talking about food, let’s just celebrate David’s birthday aye?
.
Super Man: Sooo...
David Talataina: Will you guys please shut up and let me live.
Super Man: So what do you guys wanna do?
Nash Tatupu: Jeez, I wish it was my birthday
Taiki Pokoati: I guess your birthdays past and you know we can just share with David, Nash.
Nash Tatupu: He is really selfish and greedy. Ya think he’s just going to share some food with me just like that, Taiki.
Super Man: So how old are you now David?
David Talataina: 100 Nah jokes 34
Nash Tatupu: hahaha ha ha Hilarious
Superman: it's not even that funny
Taiki Pokoati: but it is that's why we're laughing
Nash Tatupu: Yeah I agree.
David Talataina: Seriously guys.
Taiki Pokoati: What?
Nash Tatupu: Psss, Taiki stop talking or David will unleash his mental temper.
Super Man: Alright boys, I guess that’s us unless you guys are still going to be celebrating and I gotta go there's some serious damage going on.
David Talataina: I appreciate what you’ve done for my birthday, Superman and on behalf of everybody I would like to give you a fat thank you for saving everybody who you have saved.
Super Man: What can I say except you're Welcome ( Maui’s Song )
Taiki Pokoati and Nash Tatupu ( Together ): It’s was a pleasure to finally meet you.
Superman: Same for yours.
David Talataina: Bye
Taiki Pokoati: Tofa Soifua
David Talataina: Seriously, Superman is not even Samoan you silly
David Talataina: Oh and one more thing just tell wonder woman she is my baby and I love her and say hello for me.
Superman: Ok, see you whenever.
David Talataina: Taiki, Nash, the suns going down. We should really get back to our construction work so the party's over and let’s get going real fast before we get FIRED!
Taiki: True that, David.
David: Did I tell you to answer, Taiki? All I said was get back to work, alright so go on. SHOO SHOO!
Taiki & Nash: Today was so fun.
Taiki & Nash: Happy 34th birthday
Thanks for reading my Superman dialogue.
In Aroha Tuakana we have been doing some Quick Write. A Quick Write is a literacy strategy which can be used in any content area to develop writing fluency.
We have been doing different sort of Quick Write for example: using photos and videos to inspire our writing. For example Paper, Scissors, Rock, (Monkey Symphony and Superman. We have been focusing on writing dialogues to tell the reader what is happening in the story.
But the best thing about Quick Write is that you get to choose whatever character names you want and you can make up your own story about what they are saying and what you visualize in the picture.
I really like how I used the characters names in my dialogue so I can let my reader know who is talking, and who are they talking to.
I was also really good at using some figurative language like for example adjectives and verbs to bring my story alive and I have also used a humour to make it even more entertaining.
He is really selfish and greedy (e.g of an adjective)
Psss, Taiki stop talking or David will unleash his mental temper as if he was a CRAZY Gorilla (e.g of a simile).
